Dear Charter Leaders:
It’s my pleasure to invite you to the 13th Annual Texas Charter School Conference. This is the one time during the year when we come together to celebrate the work of great public Charter schools. The 2010 conference marks the first year that Texas Charter Schools Association is serving as the conference host and we’re already busy planning the schedule of events. We want you to be a part of this new chapter in the history of Texas charter schools.
This year’s conference theme, “Kickoff To Quality” highlights the new TCSA Quality Framework. TCSA members are working with the UT System Institute for Public School Initiatives to build a review process that will improve the operational and academic outcomes of our member schools. This member-developed framework is built by charter schools for charter schools! Once again, Texas charter educators are leading the charge in our commitment to quality education for our students. Every charter school administrator, board member, campus leader, and teacher should come learn more about how the framework will help your school.
New and past sponsors should take advantage of the Kickoff To Quality. More than 1300 charter school leaders will join us in Dallas to gain inspiring new insight and strategies and network with peers who are doing incredible work. Sponsors and vendors will have access to more charter leaders from more campuses than ever before in the history of the conference.
The 82nd Legislature will be here before we know it and TCSA is gearing up for another active session. TCSA member schools will host open houses, welcoming community leaders, local elected officials, and the media onto their campuses. TCSA is building a network of parent, community, and school leaders who are dedicated to increasing the funding for charter schools, lifting the cap so the more than 17,000 students on waiting lists can enroll, and ensuring charter schools are measured fairly.
