Karalei Nunn

Superintendent, Meridian World School

Karalei Nunn is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Meridian World School, an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum School located in Williamson County, Texas. Transitioning from the professional business sector as an architect, Karalei led a group of eight families to establish Meridian in 2011, opening with 680 K–8 students. Today, the school serves over 1,750 students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, offering a high-quality, inquiry-based, internationally-minded, IB education.

Under Karalei’s leadership, Meridian has become one of the few schools in Texas authorized as
a full IB Continuum and has earned state and national recognition for academic success. She is a committed school leader who emphasizes collaborative planning and aligning personal and
organizational purpose (“why”) to drive student achievement, faculty satisfaction, and long-term success, embodying Meridian’s mission to “artfully navigate our complex world and enjoy a good life with others.”
